South African queer singer/songwriter Miloh Ramai is back with an enthralling new single, Pure Hearts, the third track from his much-anticipated EP, Coven.

Ramai wrote the song as part of a personal challenge, crafting vivid poetry that captures the rawness of lust and longing, all set to a pulsating, modern beat.

The song’s lyrics offer a tantalizing glimpse into this tension: “I see your true intentions, scarlet veiled behind an ivory curtain masking that to which I am inclined…’’ and “You can wear your pure heart on your sleeve, you can save your wicked mind for me…”

These lines paint a picture of a lover whose outward innocence masks an intense, seductive side, giving listeners a sense of the magnetic push and pull between purity and temptation.

Ramai explains the inspiration behind the track: “When I wrote Pure Hearts, I aimed to capture the magnetic pull between what is visible and what lies beneath,” says Ramai. “It’s about those secret, powerful desires that only emerge in private, revealing a side of someone that few ever see.”

With evocative imagery such as, “…ruby-coloured hunger within a pearl disguise, a crimson garden thriving beneath alabaster skies…” the track further explores the hidden depths of desire, wrapped in a soundscape that’s both infectious and haunting.

The Pretoria-based Miloh Ramai is known for his performances, unique fashion choices and genre-blending music. He wrote his first song at the age of 15 and went on to train in jazz although he always wanted to sing pop music. With a growing discography and a distinct artistic vision, Miloh Ramai has garnered a dedicated following.
