All the Details: 2024 Cape Town Pride Parade & Mardi Gras
Thousands are expected to participate in the 2024 Cape Town Pride Parade and Mardi Gras on Saturday 2nd March, the culmination of this year’s three-week-long annual Pride festival.
The parade is an exuberant and colourful occasion in which the diverse members of the LGBTQI+ community march to celebrate their Pride and express who they are and who they want to be.
The parade kicks off at 11:00 on Alfred St, at the intersection with Prestwich St in de Waterkant. As always, the parade will be led by Mr and Miss Cape Town Pride, followed by the ever-popular bikers from Ride with Pride and an assortment of skateboarders and roller-skaters.
Once the parade reaches Somerset Road, it will stop briefly at the Rainbow Crossing for the official ribbon cutting and the start of the parade. It will then continue along Somerset Road and Main Road through Green Point, ending at the Green Point A Track for the Cape Town Pride Mardi Gras.
All are welcome to join the parade and there is no entry fee to participate.
