MCQP Dungeons and Dragons Gallery

This year, MCQP – Africa’s biggest costume party – pulled out all the stops to put on a truly spectacular event.
The Dungeons and Dragons theme was perfect for the historic setting; the Castle of Good Hope, which is over 300-years-old.
Despite the Mother City huffing and puffing, as she often does, revellers braved the winds and arrived in their numbers, dressed as warriors, kings (and queens), elves, wizards, goblins and all manner of fantastical characters.
There were a variety of dance-floors, live stages, food stalls and impressive décor in all areas, including a smoke-blowing dragon skeleton.

85%+ of SA is Black. I doubt there are more than 20 Black faces in these photos. Is no-one taking responsibility for facilitating a more normal profile in the attendees at events like this?
@yogi you are spot on… However, as a black face who attended this party… It was clearly not a prayer catered to the ‘”black faces” another party that excludes the entire community. I always say… We expect society to accept us and take us seriously yet we can’t even accept one another. This party was a miss for me. It’s a MCQNever again. We need to start our own party that is inclusive of the beautiful diversity we have in this country and matches our amazing constitution.
A bright light in an otherwise dismal revolting country.
