HUNKY TV STAR COMES OUT
Matt Dallas, best known for his lead role in the American TV series Kyle XY, has officially come out the closet on Twitter.
Dallas played the character of Kyle in the show, which ran for three seasons from 2006 till 2009.
On Monday, the 30-year-old actor confirmed rumours that he is gay by announcing his engagement to musician Blue Hamilton.
“Starting off the year with a new fiancé, @bluehamilton. A great way to kick off 2013!” Dallas tweeted, along with a picture of his beau on the couch with a dog.
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who has since disavowed outing celebrities, had previously dubbed Dallas “Kyle KY,” alluding to the star’s sexuality.
While not much is known about Hamilton, his record company says that when not making music he renovates houses and is “an avid dog enthusiast, an equal rights supporter, wine connoisseur, and environmentalist”.
After starring in Kyle XY, Dallas appeared in the TV show Eastwick and in a number of low-key films as well as music videos for singers Katy Perry and James Blunt.
