LADY GAGA TO BE ELTON JOHN’S SON’S GODMOTHER?

Elton John’s partner, David Furnish, has all but admitted that singer Lady Gaga will be named their son’s godmother.

Speaking to Canadian website macleans.ca, Furnish was asked about the rumour that the superstar had been asked to take on the role of baby Zachary’s godmother.

“We haven’t publicly confirmed that yet but your sources are very good!,” said Furnish, adding “I prefer not to comment on it because we are going to make a statement about godparents later on.”

He went on to talk further about the singer: “She’s all about inclusiveness and tolerance. She believes that you can be whoever you want to be and that we don’t have to live in a world of conformity and that we can all [benefit] from individuality.

“That’s the best message in the world. The freedom to be who you are, do what you want and love who you want to love.”

Gaga and John have become close friends and performed together at the Grammy Awards in 2010. He has also lauded her upcoming album and described her latest single Born This Way as “a gay anthem”.

Zachary was born to a surrogate mother in California in December last year. It is believed that John is the biological father.
