a home?. Pieter, i love you to bits and have always supported your work coz you were always going out of your way and bringing us ONLY the best. A Home? lets hope thats not where the Fireman’s Ball is. That place needs a major revamp, nothing has changed since the last Therapy Deluxe party held there. Stuart must get us more barmen and have the place cleaned up.
Firemans. firemans ball wont be here. cant be. discotec is having their own after party and not going to cost the R120 that firemans is charging. firemans has always been in slick venue like jet. no way that they will downgrade to a place like discotec – not that i wanna be negative but it’s not jet and i love discotec but really looking forward to getting into a new party place for the night. if they haven’t annouced jet yet then loving the suspense of where its gonna be. but no firemans is not stupid enough to become a club afterparty so relax

Fire put out?. Perhaps they are still struggling to actually GET a venue. I agree, I also always loved the partyhouse at the dome as a venue, although it did become too smaal with the overcrowding of the last year. But with the Sonique party as well as Discotec, as well as Bruce’s Risque, I believe that Fireman’s Ball will have a few less patrons this year, which to me makes it more balanced as well.

And now I see the VIPs are R200 PRESALE! So now all Fireman’s Ball is, is Discotec’s Pride Afterparty! SAD SAD SAD! What a major FAIL. And they going to try rip us off with door prices like that? I’d rather pay my R40 the next week or week before. Eish wenna no way!
Firemans. LMAO! The clues have been on their ads/promotions. 1st Discotec said the Venue is good enough for “pride” and other big events. And the description of the venue was/is exactly the same as Firemans Ball (even though they didn’t disclose the name of venue) But now what about those people that have bought the tickets and only to find out now that its at Discotec.
There is thousands of people that come out and look forward to JHB’s Party of the year.

too hot not. we bought our tickets to sonique, we were going to go until she’s done her thing and then end our party at the firemans. not anymore! 6 tickets to sonique cost us just over R300 so we didn’t mind at all. but we paying R50 for sonique and now why must be pay R100 for discotec or 5fm djs. dont think so

Fireman’s 2010 Venue. The annual GAYDAR.CO.ZA FIREMAN’S BALL POWERED BY 5FM has confirmed that this glamorous and completely extravagant gathering of sexy party animals will descend onto The Warehouse super-club complex (which is also home to the new gay nightspot Discotec) in Ferndale, Johannesburg on Saturday 2 October 2010.
Remember we not just using Discotec. The Warehouse is a magnificent super-club complex. Apart from being the home for the new gay nightspot Discotec every Saturday, various other areas within the complex (including the Discotec floor) will be incorporated for one of the biggest Fireman’s Balls ever to hit Pride. The complex also offers the event the platform to present a very unique and special VIP experience for guests this year.
The Warehouse has a capacity of 4500 so everybody will be comfortable and we will make sure there are ample bars and barmen. We all loved Jet at the Dome but we outgrew that venue. Time to move on.
