RICKY MARTIN BAND MATE COMES OUT

A former member of teen-group Menudo, which also featured superstar Ricky Martin, has come out as gay.

New York-born Angelo Garcia (34), who was part of the Puerto Rican boyband with Martin, confirmed that he is gay in an interview with TV Notas.

“I’m very honest about who I am, but I don’t like labels… People need to understand that someone’s sexuality doesn’t make the person. I’m more than that;, a son, brother a musician,” he said.

Garcia said that he wasn’t surprised when Martin came out in March but said that he had assumed that Martin was asexual as he had never seen the star with either a man or a woman.

Garcia, who continues to perform and recently posed naked in a gay magazine, was ten when he was in Menudo while Martin was 18.
