FORMER GOVERNOR CONFIRMS THREESOMES

A controversial former New Jersey governor has said that claims that he and his wife had threesomes with another man are true.

Jim McGreevey resigned in 2004 after publicly announcing that he was gay and that he was being blackmailed by a male staff member with whom he had an affair.

McGreevey’s wife, Dina Matos McGreevey, said that he had hidden his sexuality from her and the couple separated soon after. The two, who have a six year old daughter, are in the midst of a public and bitter divorce.

Now, a former aide, Teddy Pedersen, has come forward with claims that he had regular weekly threesomes with the couple over a period of two years. He said that the trysts ended in 2001 after McGreevey became governor.

Matos McGreevey immediately denied the claims, which came to light on the weekend, saying that her estranged husband has been friends with Pedersen, that the men remained close, and that the allegations were intended to damage her credibility.

“Jim has enlisted one of his cronies in trying to… discredit me in the media. He cannot stand it when I am receiving attention in the media rather than him,” she said.

Soon after this, the former governor sent an e-mail to The Associated Press stating that the threesomes did indeed take place.

“This happened, this happened in the past, and now we need to move on with our lives,” he said.

Matos McGreevey has been in the news of late, commenting on the recent scandalous resignation of New York governor Eliot Spitzer, and again insisting that she had no idea that her husband was gay.

She told talk show host Larry King, that McGreevey had deceived her and only married her to get ahead in his political career. Pedersen said that this angered him and prompted him to make his claims public.

“I wanted to get this out now because it was so offensive to me that she goes on television playing the victim. She’s trying to make this a payday for herself. She should have told the truth about the three of us,” he told the New Jersey Star-Ledger.
