MADONNA & GEORGE MICHAEL RELEASE NEW MUSIC VIDEOS
Two gay music icons who started out in the eighties and continue to make an impact have this week released new music videos.
Madonna (53) debuted the video for her third single Turn Up the Radio from her latest album MDNA, which is reported to be the fifth best-selling album worldwide of 2012 to-date.
The retro-styled clip was filmed during the singer’s still-ongoing world tour when she recently performed in Italy.
Shot by leading fashion photographer Tom Munro, it depicts the star lifting her spirits by going on a countryside joyride in Florence and picking up locals along the way to join her in a Cadillac convertible.
Meanwhile, George Michael (49) has released his first proper music video in years for the song White Light.
The stylish clip is inspired by the openly-gay singer’s battle with severe pneumonia late last year, during which he was reportedly close to death.
In the song, he sings: ‘I’m back, prouder than ever baby, louder than ever maybe…”
The video stars supermodel Kate Moss, who previously admitted that she regretted not appearing in Michael’s classic 1990 Freedom video which featured a host of other supermodels.
“I am truly blessed, and White Light is my thank you to everybody who has been a part of my success. And I mean everybody, including the press!! Long may it continue,” Michael said in a press release.
Watch the two videos below and tell us what you think. Do these stars still have it or are they past their prime?
